Open Gardens 2025

We have nearly 20 gardens now participating in our Prestbury Open Gardens weekend – a HUGE thank you to all the garden owners as this is not a decision they take lightly.

We have several gardens that have been a part of this event in past years but we also have SEVEN new gardens to add to the excitement.

Gardens will be clustered in the following areas of our beautiful village: You can get a feel for the gardens to be open from the quotes below by the garden owners themselves…… a tantalising impression of what is to come!

Noverton

A hidden garden surrounded by mature trees, great for hide & seek! Wildlife pond and new rockery. Some unusual plants. Outdoor teas served here.

A medium sized garden started from scratch 8 years ago and still evolving. Semi-formal structure with relaxed planting. Roses, herbaceous, no-dig fruit & veg patch.

Unique Moroccan inspired garden with central reflecting pool, decorative screens and cottage garden planting. Designed for peace and relaxation.

A small garden with a view of Cleeve Hill, which includes a vegetable patch, a small wildlife pond and several varieties of Salvias amongst other colourful perennials planted to encourage wildlife.

Large, sunny garden with flower borders, vegetable plot and fruit cage inside the original walled garden of the now demolished Prestbury Court. An interesting living Wendy House for the grandchildren. Jane Sherwood, a willow weaver, will be demonstrating her craft and will have beautiful woven willow items for sale.

High Street

Small, densely planted garden oasis alongside the High Street peppered with a variety of unique stoneware sculptures. We last opened in 2021. Once again, the owners will have pots, plaques and sculptures for sale (cash or credit).

I love living here, in the dappled sunshine through the trees. I repair, recycle and spend as little as possible while doing all the work myself. I am an art teacher, and I am showing my sculpture in the garden.

A hidden, wildlife friendly garden with a plant collector’s border, pond and vegetable plot, and steps to a sunken area.

Mill Street

This beautiful, large garden has been featured in Cotswold Life. It includes formal hedging and topiary with mixed relaxed planting. There is a sunken area with rill, a courtyard herb garden, a wildlife area with stream and a formal entertaining area.

This garden is a contemporary, architectural, relaxed garden – a great space for entertaining.

A mature cottage style garden planted to give colour throughout the year. There is a good-sized vegetable garden which provides a range of produce and cut flowers for the house.

An intimate cottage-style garden with a modern twist, overlooked by the church but otherwise secluded within a high dry-stone wall. The garden has generous planting for year-round colour, with spaces for entertaining, working and relaxing in the sun.

Shaw Green Lane

A mature garden developed for an active family now returning with grandchildren to explore and experience wildlife areas in safety.

Coronation Road

An organic, cottage-style, wildlife garden. Borders, gravel paths and wildlife pond. With a surprise…!

A back to front 1920’s bungalow with a garden of many faces!

Our garden is a quirky mix of art and horticulture. Feel free to visit Stephen’s studio at the same time, which will be accessible during the Cheltenham Open Studios festival.
